Hi, just to let you know I have recently restyled and revamped my Warbirds Forum Board. I have also added a Warbirds Blog that I will use to post news related to the aviation world, in particular with relation to the historical aviation sector, military planes and airshows. Sunset in Greece – Santorini & Crete
Just wanted to share some beautiful sunset videos I've taken in Greece. The first one is from Rethymno, a lovely city in the island of Crete. There is an old Venetian Fortress just on the seaside which overlooks the entire town. You can witness a really amazing and romantic sunset from here, especially if the day is windy and the sea roars endlessly under the stone walls
Coursera’s Huge Online Classes Roar Into Brazil, India and China
We already discussed on these pages of Coursera, the free online course offering that seem to be about to change the cards in play for online education. At the moment you don't get any academic equivalent grade for completing the courses, but you can still learn a lot for free! Just flagging up the latest update, described in Forbes's article on Coursera classes , that they are set to offer courses in India, Brazil and China!
I have followed the Machine Learning course and I have to say that this initiative has a lot of potential! Give it a go...
Need To Solve Big Data Problems? Use Data Jujitsu
Just to share an excellent article I've read this morning while commuting. It's about problem solving and "divide et impera" methodologies. The article focuses on a specific class of problems (data problems ... Which are problems indeed given the rate at which information is produced and stored nowadays!) but some considerations are generally valid in an IT context. Do you agree with the contents?
