Autumn

A glimpse of autumn by Paolo Tagliaferri
Need to find some time to pick up my Canon and take some more pictures in this season ...
#moon and #venus in London
Managed to take a couple of pictures of the Moon and Venus from my area in London. I've used my Tamron 80-200mm f/4.5-5.6 Lens and a tripod
I've also taken another one (thumbnail below) which is a bit brighter. There are several objects that can be seen, so the Moon of course, Venus in the top right corner. There is also a moving object which left a trail (a satellite?) plus some greenish blob just on the top left of the moon, not sure what that could be? I've also made a small video.
South Acton #station in #London
A sunset picture just off the South Acton London Overground station. What you see in the distance is the Chiswick Business Park complex, including the construction towers for the last building which is being added to the lot. There is still some snow left from the past few days. Yesterday I managed to have a little walk with my Canon and take a few pics in Kew - Richmond area. I should do it more often ... I missed it! Here you are a few shots I took (the leftmost one was actually taken with my phone)
Snow in #London
This year is a particularly freezing one, with temperatures dipping well below under 0C. I have to say that the sight of London under a snow blanket is a particularly fascinating one!
Here is a shoot I took from the office, I'm basically pointing to the central area (you can probably spot the BT tower in the mist, and much closer the Chiswick Park District line Tube Station. If you follow the thumbnail below, you will see approximately the same area in a clear sky day.
London Eye
Got some time yesterday to bring out my camera and take some pics of the London Eye. It was a misty night, in the best London tradition!
Some information from Wikipedia
The London Eye is a 135-metre (443 ft) tall giant Ferris wheel situated on the banks of the River Thames, in London, England.
It is the tallest Ferris wheel in Europe, and the most popular paid tourist attraction in the United Kingdom, visited by over 3.5 million people annually. When erected in 1999, it was the tallest Ferris wheel in the world, until surpassed first by the 160 m (520 ft) Star of Nanchang in 2006, and then the 165 m (541 ft) Singapore Flyer in 2008. It is still described by its operators as "the world's tallest cantilevered observation wheel" (as the wheel is supported by an A-frame on one side only, unlike the Nanchang and Singapore wheels).
Commonly known as the London Eye, or Millennium Wheel, formerly the Merlin Entertainments London Eye and before that, the British Airways London Eye. Since 20 January 2011, it has been officially known as the EDF Energy London Eye following a three-year sponsorship deal.
The London Eye is located at the western end of Jubilee Gardens, on the South Bank of the River Thames in the London Borough of Lambeth, between Westminster Bridge and Hungerford Bridge. The site is adjacent to that of the former Dome of Discovery, which was built for the Festival of Britain in 1951.
The power of the sea
An image I've took in Crete during my holidays ... the power of the seaside thrusting toward my camera
Ended up taking a lot of pictures, as I did last year. They can be found here, but I'm still uploading them!
Angry cat – remove that hat!

I am not sure exactly why, but the more I look at this picture, the harder I laugh. Watch sonera cat getting mad at a kitten for his posh styling choices...
London Eye

Definitely one of my favourite spots in London, especially during one of those rare clear sky nights :)
Richmond Sunset – London
For once, a nice sunny day in London, and I took the occasion to remove some dust from my Canon EOS camera. After a while, I was really craving for a nice photo session. Enjoy!
