Judge Dredd – You betrayed the law!
Seriously, whoever filmed this scene in "Judge Dredd" (I guess it was the director but anyway) did not probably realised at the time the comic potential of such a pretentious dialogue. Sometimes in movies they come out with gems like this:
I would love to see the same dialogue interaction between Ilda Boccassini and Silvio Berlusconi when they discuss about Bunga Bunga ...

28 later
I have to say that I have recently enjoyed re watching the 28 days - weeks later series. The 1st one is still the best in my opinion, while the 2nd is a bit lame: where in hell you would clog a mass of civilians in a horrible dim lighted underground car park in an effor to try to protect them from infection and zombie-like humans? You know it's going to end up wrong lol ... Anyway, watching the film after having gained an extensive knowledge of London is much better because you can recognize all the places they have used and it's so cool! Still wondering how they managed to empty famous landmarks such as Piccadilly Circus or Westminster Bridge. Do you know if it was CGI or what?

Iwo Jima – L’uomo soldato
Tempo fa ne avevo già parlato. Recentemente ho finalmente avuto l'occasione di vedere le ultime due fatiche del Clint Eastwood regista: Flags of Our Fathers e Letters from Iwo Jima. Inutile dire che, essendo appassionato del periodo, ero veramente curioso di vedere come avrebbe trattato il tema uno dei registi che ultimamente sto apprezzando di più.

Iwo Jima Film – Clint Eastwood
Beh, per un appassionato di storia come me questa è una notizia molto interessante. Ne avevo già sentito parlare mesi fa, ora invece siamo giunti quasi in dirittura d'arrivo. Clint Eastwood, il noto attore e regista americano (sua la mano di successi come "Mystic River" e "Million Dollar Baby") si è cimentato in un'impresa abbastanza controversa. Ha infatti realizzato due film sulla battaglia di Iwo Jima, uno degli scontri più sanguinosi avvenuti nel Pacifico tra le forze USA e quelle giapponesi. La particolarità sta nel fatto che i due film sono visti da due prospettive completamente diverse. Il primo (Flags of Our Fathers) racconta la storia degli uomini che piantarono la bandiera rappresentata in quella foto, e ovviamente tratterà maggiormente il punto di vista americano. Il secondo film invece (Letters from Iwo Jima, precedentemente noto come Red Sun, Black Sand - un titolo secondo me più appropriato) racconterà la battaglia dalla prospettiva giapponese, ed è basato sulle lettere che i soldati giapponesi (e lo stesso comandante in capo, il generale Tadamichi Kuribayashi) inviarono in patria durante la battaglia.

La giornata di oggi è stata sicuramente soddisfacente ma anche abbastanza pesantina. Per cui questa sera, non avendo capacità cerebrali residue per fare qualcosa di utile, ho pensato bene di raccogliere qualche filmato idiota (tanto per cambiare).
