Asian Dub Foundation al Rolling Stone
Ieri sera è stata una serata da ricordare: per la prima volta nella storia infatti il mio tesserino del PoliMi è servito non solo ad ottenere l'ingresso ridotto in un locale, ma anche ad avere ben due drinks inclusi nel prezzo! Roba da non credere ... comunque, ieri sera sono andato a Milano al Rolling Stone ad ascoltare gli Asian Dub Foundation. Non era un vero e proprio concerto live, perchè erano presenti in "versione ridotta" (sound system) però è stato molto bello! Più che altro, avevo già avuto occasione di ascoltarli nel 2000 come gruppo spalla dei Rage Against The Machine, ma all'epoca non mi avevano assolutamente impressionato, complice forse il settaggio dei suoni già predisposto per un groove ben diverso (come quello dei RATM) . Poi li ho ascoltati meglio nel tempo e ad oggi credo che sia uno dei gruppi più interessanti in circolazione, anche dopo il cambio di voce a partire dall'album "Fortress Europe". Tra l'altro, sempre grazie al tesserino PoliMi, io e la Manu siamo riusciti ad andare nel privè (il privè del PoliMi? 
) dove abbiamo avuto modo di conoscere King Cyber (il mago del dhol) e Lord Kimo (il vocalist), due ragazzoni simpatici con cui abbiamo potuto scambiare quattro chiacchiere (nel mio pessimo inglese parlato ... avrei bisogno di una vacanzina anche nel Regno Unito 
). Insomma, niente male per la serata! E buon compleanno al tipo che festeggiava i suoi 18 anni e che ci ha gentilmente offerto una fettona di torta (a forma di chitarra elettrica!)
