Duxford Airshow – 8/9 September 2012
Last Saturday I finally had a chance to visit the Imperial War Museum at Duxford (near Cambridge in the United Kingdom). The occasion was pretty juicy, as the regular September Airshow was scheduled for that weekend. I think it's almost since I have moved to the UK that I wanted to attend this particular event, as I am quite interested in aviation and warbirds from my very childhood. For once the British weather was also forgiving, with clear skies and high temperatures around 28 C, the ideal set to watch an Airshow.
The museum itself is pretty easy to reach from Cambridge's railway station. It's about 15 minutes with a free courtesy bus which runs every 30 minutes.
Internet nel 1993
1993 ... Io andavo alle scuole medie: I Nirvana avevano da poco pubblicato il loro nuovo CD, In Utero e mia sorella lo ascoltava giorno e notte, trasmettendomi ben presto il contagio (Ricordo in particolare che aveva registrato questo fantastico video su Videomusic, e se lo riguardava in continuazione con tanto di slow-motion sulla faccia dell'angelico Kurt). Io perdevo già ore davanti al PC: nello specifico, stavo giocando a Secret Weapons of the Luftwaffe della LucasArt (il che spiega poi questo ... ma non divaghiamo!). Ebbene, in quei giorni cominciava ad affacciarsi ai media un nuovo fenomeno ... internet!
Lacrimuccia ... :'''''''( Chissà se i ragazzini di oggi hanno mai sentito un modem analogico mentre sferraglia per connettersi ... Il video mi è giunto tramite average admins, e tra l'altro questo post potrebbe ricollegarsi a questo intervento su aghost: quali sono secondo voi i maggiori pregi e i maggiori difetti che questa tecnologia rivoluzionaria ha portato con sè?
Carnival in Rio – Arnold Schwarzenegger
Quando mi è capitato di vedere su Youtube questa chicca con Arnold Schwarzenegger in versione documentarista alla "Piero Angela" porno soft-core, non ho potuto fare a meno di postarlo sul blog. In questo breve filmato vedremo governator alle prese con le feste di Rio de Janeiro e il mardì gras nel 1983. Il giovane cul-turista, desideroso di imparare la lingua locale, in realtà finisce ben presto a smanacciare i famosi sederini torniti delle ballerine di samba. Il filmato (un estratto dell'originale, che dura 56 minuti e che non oso immaginare) è "terminato" da una specie di giochetto porno con una carota.
Non è un mito? Oh lé lé, Oh là là ...
Tipe e PC vintage
Navigando in rete (come al solito) ho trovato questo fantastico link di un tipo che, cercando di nascondere a spintonate la sua bambola gonfiabile in uno sgabuzzino, � incappato in un ormai vetusto depliant pubblicitario della IBM:

Come potete notare, anche nel lontano 1979 queste signorine erano alquanto skillate e a loro agio con il PC! Incredibile!
