Work offers : Italy vs UK
No wonders why people doesn't want to work in Italy ... I keep recieving post-graduate job offers from old newsletters I subscribed to when I moved ... both italian and british. Let's compare them.
Typical Italian work offer
XYZ is searching for a YYY software developer.
Requirements : Degree in Computer Science
Contract type: 6 months (i.e. instead of a permanent position, you get a crappy temporary contract with no benefits, no pension, no sick cover etc...with a promise "one day" to become permanent)
Where : YYY City
Work hours : monday - friday
---------------------------------
Typical British work offer
XYZ requires a YYY software developer / software engineer, with specialization in X - Y - Z and knowledge of A and B. Junior and / or senior profiles can apply. The candidate should be proficient in the following:
1) A
2) B
[...]
We offer a permanent contract (salary range Z to Y depending on the experience of the candidate) plus benefits (A, B and C). Bonuses are available depending on the performance.

Now, if u were looking for a job, which one you would prefer to apply for?
